Hi, I'm Mason.
I was inspired by games like Blooket and Gimkit to make my own, more affordable option for teachers. I've seen real improvements in my classmates and myself since making BuzzKit. Hopefully it makes class a little more exciting. Have fun!

Review that doesn't feel like review.
Every set works in every game mode. Play Classic on Monday, Race Mode on Wednesday and Spike Run on Friday with the same questions. In Spike Run, a crash means answering two questions right to try again.
See what stuck.
After every game you get a report: how each student did and which questions tripped the class up. No grading, no spreadsheets.

Questions
What is BuzzKit?
BuzzKit is a free live quiz game for classrooms at playbuzzkit.com. A teacher writes or imports a question set, hosts a game on the projector, and students join from any device with a game code. The same set can be played in many different game modes, from Classic and Game Show to Race Mode, Stack Attack and walk-around worlds.
Who made BuzzKit?
BuzzKit is made by Mason Buzzell, an independent developer in Omaha, Nebraska, and the name comes from Mason's last name. It's web software, not a set of game buzzers: you don't need any hardware to play, and BuzzKit isn't made by or affiliated with any buzzer or game-show equipment company. More about BuzzKit.
Is BuzzKit the same as Playbuzz?
No. BuzzKit isn't related to Playbuzz or to other products called BuzzKit. It's a classroom quiz game made by Mason Buzzell, and it lives at playbuzzkit.com.
Is BuzzKit free?
Yes. Making question sets, hosting games and playing are all free.
Do students need an account?
No. Students join with a game code and a nickname, with nothing to download. Only the host needs a free account to make sets and run games.
How do students join a game?
Go to playbuzzkit.com, type the game code shown on the teacher's screen (or scan the QR code), pick a nickname, and you're in.
How do I make a question set?
Create a free account, then write your questions in the set editor or ask ChatGPT or any AI assistant for questions and paste them in. You can also play public sets other teachers have shared on Explore.
What devices does BuzzKit work on?
Any device with a web browser: school Chromebooks, laptops, tablets and phones. There's no app to install.
